New Brunswick opened a post office in St. Andrews in 1817, in order to exchange mail with Robbinston, Maine.  In 1830, New Brunswick opened a post office in Woodstock.  Shortly thereafter, Houlton Maine began exchanging mail with Woodstock, New Brunswick.
